Tears of the Black Tiger
What attracted me to this dvd was the blurb: ‘mad as a bag of spiders’ (uncut) & my fondness for Thai westerns as a genre.
I did enjoy the beautiful photography & the psychedelic colouring that reminded me of Haphash & the Coloured Coat or was it Lothar & the Hand People on vinyl?
Disappointed there wasn’t enough craziness in the film unlike ‘Happiness of the Katakuris’, just psychedelic eye candy.
However too much madness can turn you crazy at breakfast. I vaguely remembered William R. Strickland’s ‘Is only the name’ from the late 60s early 70s but playing the cd this a.m frightened me so much I had to replay it instantly to check that it was real.
