I see again that the 'Wire' staff have been rummaging through my cd collection & selecting artists I have been banging on about on these pages since longtimegone: Richard Skelton/Uton/Part Wild Horses Mane On Both Sides/Ghedalia Tazartes/Ed Yazijian (incidently I was listening to his 6 Ways to Avoid the Evil Eye (sound advice for all our young marrieds) this a.m./Harappian Night Recordings/Starving Wierdos/Steven R.Smith/James Ferraro & Skaters............they have to be downloads under the below the radar heading.....cool or what..........

It Takes a Train to Laugh

Now let us go over this again: You fall off your hammock & you require 5 stitches in the head & then you find you are diabetic & you are driving up & down to the hospital & then the accelerator cable goes in your car after only being fitted a couple of months ago.

Someone, somewhere is certainly having a laugh & pushing me to my limits.

There is absolutely nothing in this world scarier than an upset librarian!

Running on Empty

Somewhere amid the madness of the past week, I managed to catch Jarvis/Beck & Jamie Liddel live on tv.

I will have to try & re-investigate my Jamie Liddel albums & Beck also showed what a genius he is.

Valerie & Her Week of Wonders

The good thing about holidays is you can catch up with your interest in Surrealist cinema.

Although the above film completely destroys any braincells still functioning, it does feature a weasel & that has got to be a very doubleplusgood feature.

Shapeshifting

This blog has been active in singing the praises of both the freak folk movement & British jazz.

The latter is such a challenge as there is not much around on cd.

I have been banging on about the former as it is truly'where I am at' at the moment.....

Nice to see that 'the wire' mag has finally caught up with both of these interests.

Double Take

I could be wrong, I am a speccy librarian & I am getting on in years, but I had these 2 album covers for a while & I have only just realised, it looks like the same model?

Comments?

Yeah, heavy & a Bottle of Bread
